Both offerings here are rich and complex; "Les Perrieres" plot has intensely stony soil and is the more mineral of the two; "Sur Gamay" is distinct and deep, with a honeyed character that given a few years will be shining. Insane value.

Domaine Leflaive is one of the pioneers of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy; its Mâcon-Verzé is undoubtedly the Rolls-Royce of the Mâconnais. Airy and nicely lifted in the glass, with ripe pear, apricot, jasmine and passionfruit give the 2018 an exotic, floral feel that is impossible to miss. This is refined Burgundy.
